FRESH CRISIS ROCKS MISS GALAXY BEAUTY PAGEANT.
As at press time- Ahead of the June 12 finale of Miss Galaxy beauty competition in Gambia- a fresh crisis has erupted in the controversy ridden pageant.
Sources maintained that on Tuesday July,08 2008- the reinstated face of the competition- Miss Sandra Iwu was again dethroned.
The incident- came just days to the final event.
Insiders maintained the act was a premeditated move aimed at saving the integrity of the pageant organisers- and ultimately tainting the controversial Queen.
Miss Iwu, at a point in her reign had created credibility problem for the pageant- taking them to the cleaners with a series of interviews that portrayed taking the general public- and her self for a fool with deceitful moves.
The Queen had alleged the Jenniffer Nweke led crew never fulfilled a single claim in her contract papers with them- that instead of the posh car she was promised, what she tagged a grade two Toyota Corrolla car was provided.
Even the car was reportedly only made available when she had events to attend . As at the 7th month of her 12 month reign the re dethroned Queen claimed in several quarters that her salary was yet un paid.
The fight which lasted for some four weeks on the pages of Newspapers and celebrity magazine- had caste great aspersion on the pageant- and led to the sack of the assailant Queen Iwu.
Un relented the Queen had continued her fight with the organisers, throwing a threat of a law suit into the bargain.
The continuous washing of dirty linen in public- had greatly hampered moves to stage another edition of the pageant.
The result of this development was an initiated peace move- that led to the sack of the consultant- and re instatement of the dethroned Queen.
All had been quiet until last Tuesday, and as if acting out a script- the new organisers I.G.I led by Nneka Lott suddenly called a press conference-announcing the dethronement of Queen Iwu again. The first runner up was immediately announced the successor.
The move has attracted wide condemnations from industry watchers.
According to a source’ what the organisers did leaves much to be desired...from the look of things they plotted the truce, to re instate Iwu in order to retain a bit of credibility. And, now they have used that to achieve all they want- they have dumped her like a bad habit on the eve of another event- so that the up roar that will follow will not affect them..to a large extent that speaks volume of the manner of their operation’
What however unclear is the way the re dethroned Queen will tackle this new challenge.

GOV,FASHOLA’S WIFE, BIMBOLA WEEPS AT HEART OF GOLD HOSPICE
Saturday,June 29 2008- Abimbola, the adorable wife of Governor of Lagos State- Babatunde Raji Fashola showed great emotion at the Heart of Gold Hospice owned by Mrs Laja Adedoyin.
The Governor had visited the Adebola street, Adeniran Ogunsanya Surulere Auspice in commemoration of his 45th Birthday.
His wife was in tow- along with a battery of aides when he arrived the place at about 2.30p.m.
While going round the familiarisation tour- the First Lady of the state had became overwhelmed with emotion, and broken down in tears at the plight of some of the children at the place- and the laudable efforts of the Laja Adedoyin led crew to make a befitting citizen out of them.
The governor was so impressed that he praised the woman of heart of gold owner of the place- Laja Adedoyin to high heavens, giving her a blank cheque on what the needs of the home are in the bid to complement it’s effort towards creating a better society.
He eventually promised to help in providing veritable accommodation for the home.
He described the visit to Heart of Gold Hospice as one of the pleasant high lights of his 45th Birthday celebration.
